Dutch Contractor Invests in Fleet of Dakotas
Campey Turfcare Systems have supplied three Dakota Turf Tenders to a contractor in Holland through their Dutch dealer VGR Equipment. Managing Director Arwin Verschoor has worked closely with the Contractor; Veluwenkamp Bedrijven (Veluwenkamp group of Companies) who is a major player in Holland, undertaking a significant amount of local authority work. This involves maintaining roadside, parks and general green areas, major construction projects including sports pitches, renovation and follow-up maintenance. In addition they are also responsible for a number of golf courses which require a lighter touch and this is why they have chosen two Dakota 411's to compliment a larger Dakota 440.

The Dakota 411 towed 4-wheel wide-spread top dressers are to be used by Veluwenkamp primarily for sanding greens and other fine turf areas. It is a light machine featuring Ultra-Trac turf tyres, on independent floating beam axles for maximum weight distribution, so ideal for this sort of terrain.Handling both wet and dry materials it is easily loaded using a 1.8m wide tractor bucket and the simple calibration system allows light to heavy dressings to be applied accurately and with speed.
For the more industrial heavy duty applications the Dakota 440 has proven to be a highly versatile topdresser and material handler. It has the same features as the 411 with the same levels of accuracy and ease of calibration with no manual adjustment, all from the vehicle mounted control panel. But the 440 has 4 x 20" Supa Trac turf tyres on independent floating beam axles, large capacity hopper, front mounted side conveyor and spreading width up to 13m wide via the dual spinner discharge system.
