Week 6

This past week I spent my time in France with Lee Morgado, we flew into Toulouse where we met up with Christine from Hydraparts and drove down to Bordeaux where we had some demos to do.

The first demo we had was at a city sports field complex. We were demonstrating the Koro FieldTopMaker, Vredo seeder, Shockwave and Mini RotoKnife. This was the first time I got to see the Mini RotoKnife in action so it was good experience for me, as well as people coming to the demo to see how these machines can make football pitches and other types of pitches safer for young athletes to play on.

We were able to stop by the ocean after the demo and enjoy a meal. Since we were by the ocean I had to try the seafood. I had my very first fresh oyster and sea snail, both of which tasted interesting.

The next demo we had was at a horse racing track, I had always thought horses ran on dirt so never knew there was a need for turfgrass machines. But Lee infomed me that in the UK and Europe horses run mostly on turf. With all the compaction that horses make, the Mini RotoKnife and Shockwave are perfect tools to be used.

Lee and I flew back after the demo from Nantes to Dublin, where we had a connecting flight from Dublin to Manchester. Being in Dublin, and having a delay in our flight meant for a Guinness.  I had a great time in France, and with the Hydraparts team.
