Mighty mower cuts maintenance
to size
Nick Rayner is cutting both the grass and his mowing time as he maintains the Cheshire Polo fields in Tarporley, thanks to his massive new Trimax Pegasus mower.
This latest version of the Pegasus has a 6m cutting width, nearly 2m wider than the standard machine, and is the biggest Trimax unit sold in the UK to date.

As soon as Nick’s local dealer, Campey Turf Care Systems of Macclesfield, demonstrated the Pegasus to him, he knew he was on to a winner. “It will cut my mowing time by approximately 50%,” he says. “The Pegasus gives a perfect finish for the Club, which requires a smooth playing surface for fast ball speed and true direction.”
“I understand the polo players themselves have been suitably impressed with the results too.” he adds.
The Pegasus wide-area mower has three decks, each housing a series of rotary blades. These operate at high speed for precise results and the sort of finish normally associated with cylinder mowers. The decks are mounted on castors to follow ground contours.
Nick’s company, Nick Rayner Contracts, will now be able to take on additional business in his locality, thanks to the time saving that the Pegasus achieves.
