Dakota Introduces Redesigned 2006 Turf Tender Line

Dakota has introduced its totally redesigned Turf Tender product line for the 2006 model year. Designed with the operator in mind, the new Turf Tenders have fewer parts and are easier to use, adjust and maintain. The new features also give operators greater material handling control from the seat, providing safe, fast and easy adjustments during the job.

New to the 410, 412 and 414 Turf Tenders is an electric control box with digital readouts to give operators precise control over spreader settings. The 410 control box also features a Honda key start and throttle up switch for engine models. A new rear conveyor converts the 410 topdresser to a material handler and fits every mounted and pull type 410 model, regardless of year.

The 440 and 420 models have a new, more durable power chute that is electrically operated for greater control over material placement and easier, faster material handling. The side conveyor and floating box scraper offer great versatility for all types of golf course and sportsfield jobs.

Designed to handle wet or dry materials, the new Turf Tenders have been designed to spread a wide range of materials including top dressing, sand, rubber crumb, gypsum, grass seed, compost and others. With its chemical resistant PVC belt, the Turf Tenders can safely spread fertilizer without damage to the belt. A new interactive calibration program allows the operator to spread materials accurately the first time without costly trial and error.

“The new topdressers are part of Dakota’s continuous improvement process,” said Richard Campey, of Campey Turf Care Systems the exclusive distributor of Dakotas in UK and Europe. “We believe that this is the first time a manufacturer in our industry has introduced equipment that is completely designed around the user. I believe they address every issue that greenkeepers have been asking for in the last few years.”
