Box clever on tees with new Dakota Scraper

Campey Turf Care Systems expect significant demand from golf courses and contractors for the new Dakota D606 Soil Mover/Box Scraper, which has just been added to the company’s equipment line-up.

Debuting at BTME 2007 on the Campey stand (B35), the rugged attachment enables a perfectly level finish to be achieved on surfaces such as tees. Given the intensity of usage that many golf courses experience, and the resultant need for renovating and reconstructing tees, it is offered as a high work-rate solution that gives precise results quickly.

Weighing 750kg and measuring 1.8m wide, the Dakota D606 has a capacity of 1.5 cu m and can be powered by tractors of 30hp-60hp. The height of the scraper blades can be altered quickly and precisely with minimal effort, and the hitch height is adjustable.

One-way tilt is standard on the attachment, and two-way tilt capability can be specified as an option, as can mechanical tilt. The cutting edges feature bolt-on construction for quick interchangeability, and curved cutting edges are also available.

Laser-operated controls can be attached to the Dakota D606, enabling the most demanding of operators to achieve precise levels where the highest standards of finish are essential.

Extremely rugged construction is a major hallmark of the machine. Heavy-duty end walls are incorporated which, together with reinforced stiffeners, ensure reliable performance and durability for demanding turf care professionals.

“We understand that greenkeepers depend on machinery that gives high-quality results with precision,” says Richard Campey, Managing Director of Campey Turf Care Systems. “Like other equipment in our range, the Dakota D606 gives professional performance and the highest efficiency.”
