Campey's Appointment with Experience

There is no substitute for experience, and Campey Turf Care Systems’ latest staff appointment certainly has plenty.

Ian Pogson has joined the Macclesfield-based company as Product Specialist for the south of England, Wales and Ireland. He is 65 years young and has a wealth of knowledge of the turfcare Industry.

He entered the grounds care industry in 1980, and he has held positions with several tractor manufacturers, including Ford, Massey Ferguson and Iseki.

Ian - or ‘Poggy’ as he is known to friends and colleagues - is relishing his latest opportunity with Campeys. “I have always admired the company’s product range because of its comprehensiveness and the fact that the high work-rate machines enable busy groundsmen and greenkeepers to achieve great results,” he says.

Ian is a sports fanatic, having been a coach for many years and he is a Gloucester RFC Season ticket holder, as well as taking a keen interest in football. He also says he enjoys walking - especially to the pub!

Hailing from Welbeck in Nottinghamshire, Ian now lives in Herefordshire. He has been married for 42 years and has two children
